    Selena Rivero LPC - Associate

Selena is a LPC- Associate. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Our Lady of the Lake University. She graduated with her Bachelor’s of Science in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from Angelo State University.

As a counselor, Selena’s goal is to create a safe and supportive space where individuals can explore their experiences and begin the process of meaningful change. She believes therapy is most effective when it is collaborative—her approach is to walk alongside her clients, helping them uncover strengths, build practical tools, and navigate challenges with confidence.

Selena brings experience working with culturally diverse populations and place a strong emphasis on honoring each client’s unique background, identity, and story. I also have a deep commitment to supporting neurodivergent individuals, understanding both the challenges and the unique perspectives that come with experiencing the world differently. Selena also specializes in foster care and adoption as she has extensive past experience working in family services as well as having an adopted child herself. Selena sees children, adolescents, adults and couples. Her therapeutic experience includes private practice and school based counseling.

Selena believes that in today’s world—where many of us are balancing constant demands, shifting expectations, and feelings of uncertainty—therapy can offer a place of clarity and renewal. Her role is not to provide quick fixes, but to empower clients with insight and strategies that support long-term growth and well-being. Selena believes it is a privilege to be invited into this journey with each client, and she approaches this work with respect, compassion, and dedication.
